Text Box:

The Colors of the Order are White and Blue

White is for purity and the bright light of truth.

Blue is for the joyful days of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Order of the Daughters of the King (DOK) is organized as a religious order.  Each Daughter takes a lifetime vow to live by the Rule of the Order.  Our Rule of Life requires a spiritual discipline of daily prayer, service and evangelism.  Because of our vow, we refer to ourselves as an order, not an organization.  Our bylaws prohibit us from raising funds.

We are a group of women dedicated to a life of Prayer, Service and Evangelism. The Order is a spiritual community in a busy world where women with similar interests can pray, study, share together, affirm ministries and support each other.

We are an Order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church, churches in communion with it, or churches in the Historic Episcopate. Today our membership includes women in the Anglican, Episcopal, Lutheran (ELCA) and Roman Catholic churches.

The Motto of Our Order:

For His Sake…

I am but one;

but I am one.

I cannot do everything;

but I can do something.

What I can do,

I ought to do.

What I ought to do,

by the grace of God

I will do.

Lord,

what will you have me do?
